Twisters 2024 Budgetary. After a sunday, july 28 showing of over $10 million, the film has stormed past yet another target, now returning a total of $220 million worldwide on a reported budget of $155. This movie builds on what made the original twister fun, dials all of it up to 11, and makes absolutely zero apologies for it.

The film at one point had an unofficial schedule date for the summer of 2012 under the title twister 3d, but it was ultimately canceled due to budgetary concerns and, years later, by paxton’s death in 2017. Much like twister in 1996, 2024’s twisters is entertaining enough.
